Andrea Cristancho, M.A. 

Major Gifts Officer

Andrea brings to her role more than a decade of experience cultivating high-value partnerships and stewarding complex, long-cycle relationships across the public and private sectors. Throughout her career, she has built trust-based alliances with senior leaders, institutions, and global stakeholders, securing and managing commitments ranging from $10 million to $150 million.

As a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Andrea led relationship-driven engagement across government agencies and international partners, advancing collaboration on shared economic and development goals. In the private sector, she led business development efforts that expanded organizational reach and secured major partnerships across Latin America and East Africa. Across every role, her work has centered on understanding what partners value most and connecting them to meaningful, lasting impact.

A values-driven and collaborative professional, Andrea is passionate about advancing health equity and lifting up the communities Denver Health serves. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she holds a master’s degree in sustainable international development and previously served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Romania.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys riding her Peloton, walking her dog Maracas, and running a book club. She joined Denver Health Foundation in June 2026.
