Kaitlin Girtin brings a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder engagement to Denver Health Foundation. Her work is grounded in a deep passion for social impact and a commitment to building meaningful relationships that help organizations and communities thrive. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kaitlin was the Associate Director of Corporate Giving for the National Forest Foundation, where she led corporate fundraising strategies and developed partnerships to advance conservation and community engagement across the National Forest System. Earlier in her career, Kaitlin worked in passenger rail policy and stakeholder engagement at the Colorado Department of Transportation and in fundraising at the University of Denver.
Growing up in Colorado, Kaitlin has a great appreciation for the communities, people, and places that make this state special. After a few years living in Arizona, she is thrilled to be back in Denver with her husband, their dog, and their cat. Kaitlin holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of San Diego and her MLS in Environmental and Natural Resource Law and Policy from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling, live music, painting, exploring Denver neighborhoods, and spending time with family and friends.
