Jay Bouchard, MA

Lead Communications Specialist

Jay Bouchard has spent more than a decade working as a magazine journalist and nonprofit content strategist. Drawn to Denver Health’s deep community impact, he produces engaging, donor-focused content and helps lead internal and external communications efforts.

Previously, as an editor at 5280 magazine, he oversaw digital publishing efforts, wrote award-winning stories, and led complex multimedia initiatives. He also served as content manager at the LOR Foundation, which supports community-driven initiatives across the rural West. Later, he launched an editorial services business, where he worked with mission-driven clients, including Denver Health Foundation.

Jay’s writing has been published in regional and national outlets, including TIME, Outside, High Country News, Backpacker, SKI Magazine and The Denver Post. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
