Christopher Mena

Data and Fund Manager

Christopher Mena was born in Brooklyn, New York, where he was nurtured by a devoted single mother who emphasized the importance of serving others. This foundational value led him to Colorado at age 18, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

His career path first took him to journalism, reporting for The Morning Call on local government, community outreach, and special events. Christopher also served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in New York City, providing vital support during emergencies. At Denver Health’s Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety, he applied his skills in team leadership, project coordination, and business development, including proposal editing and quality assurance.

With a deep commitment to the Denver community, Christopher joined the Denver Health Foundation, where he plays a critical role in managing and allocating philanthropic funds, ensuring contributions meet their intended impact, and supporting project teams with philanthropic grants in the post-award phase.

Currently pursuing an accounting degree, Christopher aims to further enrich his ability to interpret and narrate through numbers, continuing his commitment to community service and impact.
