Injury Prevention
Increasing awareness about injury prevention and promoting injury prevention programs are an integral part of being an academic Level I Trauma Center. While clinicians are in the business of minimizing the severity of injuries through state-of-the-art care, they are also committed to educating patients and the community about prevention. The Injury Prevention Committee acts as a forum to review causes of injury, trends, treatment and quality of care concerns in order to identify intervention strategies; develop and produce injury prevention programs for the community, and respond to community requests. The Injury Prevention program provides information and supports many community events including, AARP driver safety, teen driving, gun safety, bicycle safety, seat belt, air bag and car seat safety. Your donation will help Denver Health prevent unnecessary injury by raising awareness about these issues in the community.
