Karen Kennedy joined the Denver Health Foundation as Deputy Director in September 2008.  Her principal responsibilities include major gift solicitation, foundation grant writing, planned giving, and donor stewardship.  Additionally, Ms. Kennedy’s management oversight includes the foundation’s special events and donor database.  She is an experienced professional with fifteen years in the nonprofit sector, including Mile High United Way as Vice President of Donor Relations; Executive Vice President for the Denver Public Schools Foundation; and Regional Director for the American Ireland Fund. 

Ms. Kennedy has a masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado and a BA from the State University of New York.  She serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Colorado Chapter and is a member of Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable.
